As an independent contractor, I deliver professional results in a wide variety of media for an equally broad range of publications and businesses. Assisted founder, owner, and operator Liz Vayda in a wide range of daily marketing and operational activities for her long-running and award-winning boutique indoor plant shop. From commercial plant design in venues like The Lyric to residential service visits to corporate workshops – B. Willow offers an array of services and products. I used my PR, news, photo/video and marketing background in assisting operations following the birth of Liz and I’s daughter Autumn. *This business is owned and operated by my partner.
Photographer/Videographer, Hometrack Real Estate Marketing, Timonium, Maryland –2021-2025
Working with many exceptional properties and prominent individuals, this role demanded high trust and discretion. Utilizing professional photo/video equipment – including drones, gimbals, 360, and Matterport 3D cameras – I created top-of-the-line marketing and portfolio materials for real estate agents, builders, and architects. In addition to capturing media of thousands of residences and commercial buildings, I also took headshots, photographed corporate events, and captured talking-head videos and other marketing and internal content for clients.

At this design/build and real estate firm, I wore a variety of hats including marketing manager, social media manager, office administrator, graphic designer, and photographer/videographer. I wrote press releases resulting in immediate media coverage, oversaw and grew social accounts, created and coordinated radio and print advertisements, managed and updated the company website, prepared web traffic growth reports, created printed promotional materials, designed and coordinated the fabrication of custom outdoor signage, planned events, led meetings, and created multi-media documentation of company projects.

At CVNI, I created written content and graphics for an array of corporate clients. I learned HTML and wrote, edited, and managed newsletters and marketing emails that reached thousands of subscribers each week, as well as managed and updated client websites daily.
Staff Writer/Daily and Enterprise Reporter, Gannett/The Daily Times Salisbury, Maryland — 2010-2012
As a staff writer I coordinated with photographers, editors, and sources for each of the 600+ articles I wrote for The Daily Times and other Gannett publications including USAToday. While writing my daily stories for print and simultaneously working on longer enterprise pieces, I also kept our newspaper’s website, delmarvanow.com, updated with breaking news throughout the day.

After interning with Delmarva Media Group, I freelanced for several of their publications in the area including The Daily Times and GO! Magazine. During that time I wrote stories on everything from local musicians to international trade issues. This work led directly into my full time employment with Gannett.
